Closing the Digital Gap for a 10,000-Member Women’s Movement

Pambazuko La Wanawake Magharibi (PALAWAMA) is a legally registered Public Benefit Organization bringing together women’s groups across Western and Nyanza regions of Kenya. The organization represents a vibrant network of over 10,000 women, youth, religious leaders, academicians, and community advocates working to advance the rights, protection, and participation of women and young people in development.

PALAWAMA’s work focuses on ending gender-based violence, promoting economic empowerment, strengthening women’s leadership and governance, and building sustainable institutional systems that support long-term impact. Their mission is clear: to create a just, dignified, and safe environment where women and girls can actively participate in shaping their communities and futures.

With support from the New Africa Fund (NAF), PALAWAMA embarked on a journey to strengthen its visibility, governance structures, and resource mobilization efforts. However, existing digital platforms were not adequately supporting these ambitions.

This is where Quincy Creative came in.

The Challenge

Despite its strong grassroots presence and impactful programs, PALAWAMA faced several digital challenges:

  • Limited online visibility and storytelling capacity
  • A fragmented digital presence that did not reflect organizational scale and impact
  • Difficulty communicating programs and impact to partners and donors
  • Lack of a structured platform to support resource mobilization and stakeholder engagement
  • Outdated digital architecture that limited growth

PALAWAMA needed more than a website , they needed a strategic digital platform aligned with their advocacy and institutional growth goals.

Quincy Creative’s Approach

Quincy Creative partnered with PALAWAMA to bridge the gap between impact and visibility by designing a platform that translates grassroots work into compelling digital narratives.

Our approach focused on three key areas:

1. Strategic Digital Positioning

We worked closely with PALAWAMA to understand their mission, audience, and long-term goals. The new platform was structured around their core strategic pillars — gender-based violence prevention, economic empowerment, leadership and governance, and institutional strengthening — allowing visitors to clearly understand both purpose and impact.

2. Impact-Driven Design & Storytelling

The website was designed to highlight PALAWAMA’s programs, community stories, and advocacy work in a clear and engaging way. Visual storytelling, structured content flow, and accessible navigation ensure that donors, partners, and community members can easily connect with the organization’s mission.

3. Scalable Digital Infrastructure

Quincy Creative developed a modern, scalable platform that supports future growth, including content updates, program expansion, and digital campaigns. The platform enables PALAWAMA to communicate ongoing initiatives, publish updates, and strengthen engagement with stakeholders locally and internationally.

The Result

The new PALAWAMA digital platform now serves as:

  • A central hub for advocacy and awareness
  • A credible digital presence for partners and funders
  • A storytelling platform showcasing community impact
  • A foundation for long-term resource mobilization and organizational sustainability

By aligning technology with mission, Quincy Creative helped transform PALAWAMA’s digital presence into a strategic asset that amplifies the voices of women and girls across Western Kenya.
